Other Contract Highlights Include the Strengthening of Important Language to Protect Our WorkStronger Reverse Book Layoff Language: Supervisory capacity shall be defined as having a minimum of three workers under their direct supervision, unless only one supervisor is present on the project. This means that someone can’t simply be called a foreman. They must be working in a supervisor capacity. Expanded Overtime: To compensate members for time away from your families, all Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays shall be paid at double (2x) the rate of pay instead of just time and a half on Saturdays. Updated Tool List: For the duration of the agreement, the value of the tool list shall be assessed at $850.00, including tax. The tool list replacement value will be re-evaluated prior to all future contracts. The list for reimbursements has been modernized, which was long overdue. Paid Parking: Parking reimbursement will move from a six block radius to an eight block radius. The quarter mile rule is still in effect and is unchanged. |
