Electro Skill Corporation

In 2001, IBEW Local 332 officially opened its new headquarters at 2125 Canoas Garden Avenue. The genesis for the new headquarters began in 1960, when the membership of IBEW 332 approved the purchase of property at 1870 Stone Avenue, San Jose, with the idea of building a meeting hall.

The members formed Electro Skill Corporation, a non-profit organization whose primary function was to purchase property, erect buildings and maintain them, as well as handle matters pertaining to these investments. The Executive Board of Local 332 serves as the Board of Trustees for this non-profit corporation.

On November 29, 1960, the local signed Articles of Incorporation of Electro Skill Corporation. Secretary of State Frank M. Jordan officially signed the Articles of Incorporation for Electro Skill Corporation on December 6, 1960.

In 1999, Electro Skill Corporation purchased land at 2125 Canoas Garden Avenue, San Jose to construct a 29,200 sq.ft. building. On June 1, 2001 it became home to IBEW Local 332 and several tenants, including the Electric Federal Credit Union and the law firm of Wylie, McBride, Platten and Renner.

Within the new headquarters is a 6,000 sq.ft. meeting hall where IBEW holds its monthly membership meetings, a food service area and courtyard. This meeting hall and banquet facility is available to the public for rent for conferences, wedding receptions, anniversaries, etc. Local 332 members receive a discounted rate.
