How to Join
If you have no or very little experience in the electrical industry as an electrician, the best step is to apply for our apprenticeship program. Qualifications for this program are as follows:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years old as of the date of application.

Must be a High School Graduate with a diploma, proficiency certificate or GED.

Proof of diploma or GED must be presented in English when filing application.

Must have one year (two semesters) of Algebra, with a “C” grade.

Must have valid California Drivers License prior to bring referred to work.

Must be physically able to do construction work.

Must be able to distinguish colors.

If you have had at least five (5) years of experience (needs to be verifiable) as a journey level electrician in either commercial or industrial electrical work, can pass a Drug Screen, you are eligible to apply for membership by contacting Bob Seaberg at (408) 979-5520 or Dan Romero at (408) 979-5521 to begin the process.
If you have had at least three (3) years of residential experience at a journey level and can pass a Drug Screen, you can begin the process of becoming a member of IBEW 332 by contacting Dan Romero at (408) 979-5521.
If you have had a minimum of three years of experience as a "systems" installer, or above, in the voice, data, or video area of our industry,and can pass a Drug Screen, you can contact John Sawtelle at (408) 979-5524 to begin the process of becoming a member of IBEW 332.
